Opportunity Description:

Aquafit for All Association is a non-profit organization in Vancouver. Our mission is to develop and provide affordable aquatic/aquatic exercise opportunities for individuals with disabilities and/or injuries of all ages. Adapted Exercises Assistants help with setting the pool deck up and welcome our participants, and to optimize the clients’ experience with their exercise program by providing program support to staff and the clients participating. Volunteers will be required to commit to 2.5~3 hours every Saturday morning from 9am-11am. Volunteers may need to stay until 11:30am to help our participants to navigate the pool area and/or lobby. There is also a mandatory volunteer training session that all volunteers must attend prior to the beginning of their first shift. Volunteers who have committed to minimum 4 classes and attended the training session will receive a confirmation of volunteer hours. References will also be provided for volunteers who have accomplished the above. This volunteering opportunity is a fun and unique way to build your resume and to work with others! Many of our volunteers/staff/directors are involved in health care careers including but not limited to occupational therapy, physical therapy, medicine, recreational therapy, speech language pathology, pharmacy, nursing, and more!
