Vancouver Biennale is a non-profit charitable organization that exhibits great art in public space, creating a catalyst for learning, community engagement, dialog and social action. Our goal is to make public art accessible, engaging and motivating to create vibrant and inspired communities.
We are currently accepting applications from volunteers for various public events and installations in the coming weeks and months in Metro Vancouver, in particular for our upcoming exhibit of work from Australian sculptor Patricia Piccinini.
Volunteering with Vancouver Biennale is a great opportunity to meet and work with internationally renowned artists, hone skills and learn from experience. Volunteer opportunities are varied, from helping artists install new sculptures in public spaces, assisting with film screenings and events, marketing and social media outreach, and welcoming and informing the public and our guests.
Our aim is to ensure volunteering with Vancouver Biennale is rewarding and positive, every time! We do our best to ensure placements are well-tailored to match a volunteer’s strengths and interests, and all volunteers receive training and support throughout their shifts. Volunteers also have exclusive access to Biennale events and exhibits, Biennale T-shirts, drinks and snacks while on shift, and lots of other perks. We’d be happy to provide referrals and references too!
