Ignite the Warmth Society (Ignite the Warmth – Event Coordinator)

Ignite the Warmth Society is a grassroots, registered non-profit organization aiming to bring awareness to the issues of homelessness and poverty through three main fronts: facilitate, educate, and communicate. Our goal is to explore how we can begin to eliminate that stigma of homelessness and how students can engage with the issues of poverty that exist in our own neighbourhood.

Ignite the Warmth is currently seeking a volunteer passionate about community development and communicating social issues like poverty and homelessness. As the event coordinator, the applicant will serve on the executive committee and work closely with the team, and the external event coordinator to manage the logistics of our  Annual Blanket Drive Event. This position provides an excellent opportunity for developing skills in event planning, volunteer management, and fundraiser oversight.

Training and mentorship opportunities will be provided.
