Latincouver is a non-profit organization that for the past 12 years has been connecting over 100,000 Latin Americans with Latin enthusiasts living in Western Canada. As of today, we are the point of reference within the Latin American community in British Columbia.
Job Description:
Our promoter will be outgoing and energetic in addition to being responsible for seeking sponsors for Latincouver. This professional will go to restaurants, cafes, and diners, looking for sponsorship for our “Amigo Card”; the establishments would provide discounts for those who obtain the card.
This is a temporary, short term volunteer position (4 weeks).

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Plan the itinerary of visits to raise possible sponsors
- Completely understand the Latincouver’s Amigo Card purpose
- Display confidence and present yourself to restaurants/cafes/diners owners
- Analyze possibilities and strategies to increase the number of sponsors
- Manage relationships with the sponsors
- Other activities as assigned
Requirements and Skills
- High school or college diploma
- Availability – at least 15h per week
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and very strong English
- Experience in the Promotion or Sales field is an asset
- Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
- Organizational and time-management skills
- Oral and written proficiency in a second language reflective of the Latin – American community (Spanish and/or Portuguese) is an asset.
