Description

Coordinator is responsible for the efficient planning and execution of the Fiesta Blanca – 29 June 2019. This is a multi-dimensional position that requires an individual who is a self-starter, with strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to relate to the many different entities involved in the planning and execution of the event.

 

Skills & Responsibilities

A self-starter that enjoys working with people
Ability to coordinate direct and motivate a team
Good interpersonal and supervisory skills
Ability to work with diverse group of individuals
Ability to delegate tasks and work under pressure
Ability to work with flexibility energy and commitment
Strong communication skills in English
Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is an asset

 

Job Summary

Responsible for coordinating volunteers to their assigned positions

Take on-spot decisions for the event to run more efficiently and smoothly
Communicate with event service providers
Provide ongoing assistance and support for the Project Manager
Finding solutions to any problem that arise during the event
Check that all requirements of government are met
Work on security for the venue
Ensure that commitments for sponsors are fulfilled.
Search for  a Latin band and Djs and conduct communication on terms for them
Look for sponsors and partners
Find a cruise to rent, able to fit around 250 guests
Create, print and help to sell the tickets for the event
Help with decorations  
Check all licenses if needed
Help with scheduling of  the volunteers and managing them
Work closely and reporting to the Project Manager to ensure that all logistical arrangements are successfully completed and executed
Compiling a post event analysis, evaluation and recommendation reports
Work closely with Marketing team to ensure that event is promoted in the best way
