The Front of House team helps make every screening run smoothly and create a great experience for our patrons. This is a customer service position at the Vancity Theatre where volunteers have a variety of tasks they can choose from. Before and after screenings volunteers are busy helping patrons and preparing the theatre for the next show. During the screening, there is ample downtime. Volunteers are encouraged to discuss films with other volunteers, use the Media Lab or Education Suite, and are more than welcome to bring their own book or homework to pass the time.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Door: Scanning tickets and helping direct patrons.
Ushering: Help patrons navigate through the theatre and organize line-ups. (Note: Ushers for unrated films must be 19 years or older)
Clean-Up: Help keep our theatre clean in-between and after shows.
Special events: Set up and tear down alongside helping with cleaning and putting away dishes.

Has a positive and outgoing attitude Works well in high-paced environments Enjoys teamwork and is self-motivated
