KidSport BC (KidSport BC (Community Outreach Booth at Flag Football Championships for KidSport BC))

• Appropriate for youth (i.e., less than 18)
• Appropriate for volunteers aged between 18 and 55
• Appropriate for volunteers aged 55 and over

KidSport BC has been invited to attend the Provincial Flag Football Championships to raise awareness for our program. BC Provincial Football Association (BCPFA) has also invited us to partner with them on a 50/50 draw and receive 25% of proceeds.

KidSport provides funding for kids from families facing financial barriers to help cover the cost of sport registration fees so ALL kids can play!

We are looking for a team of volunteers to set up a KidSport tent at the event and engage with attendees. Volunteers will be responsible for attending the event and helping to raise awareness of KidSport. Responsibilities will include setting up our KidSport tent and banners, handing out and/or selling KidSport swag, and interacting with attendees to share KidSport’s mission. Volunteers would be responsible for directing attendees to the QR code for the 50/50 at the tent, as the raffle will be held solely online. A handbook detailing key points of KidSport and common FAQ’s will be available, as well as a KidSport employee for orientation.

Volunteer Shifts – 9am -1pm & 1pm to 5pm each day (4 hrs)
