Our purpose is to develop and operate programs that address crime and safety issues in order to foster and maintain a safe and healthy community. Volunteers take part in a variety of programs and activities to engage the community, promote leadership, and assist with crime and safety concerns.

The purpose of our Road Safety Program is to increase safety in the Hastings-Sunrise neighbourhood for all road users: drivers, passengers, pedestrians, and cyclists. Our program works in partnership with the VPD and ICBC to address local road safety concerns. Volunteers will be responsible for conducting Speed Watches, where they will observe and record vehicle speeds on certain roadways by setting up a radar board to show vehicles their speed. Volunteers will also conduct cell watches, observing vehicles for distracted driving behaviours.
