Opportunity Description:

The Jericho Stewardship Group will be hosting our monthly work party, where we will be removing blackberry, ivy, and other invasive plants so that native species can once again flourish in the park.**

Come join us in helping make sure that Jericho Beach Park remains a healthy ecosystem for Vancouver!

Sunday February 12 from 9:30am – 12:30pm. We will meet at the bridge between the two duck ponds. For more information, visit our Meetup Event Link

Please bring sturdy boots and dress for the weather as we will be getting dirty rain or shine!

****Due to COVID-19 we will observe changes to our regular work party setup to ensure the safety of our volunteers:

Volunteers must RSVP through Meetup in order to attend.
Volunteers must participate in a health check (see photo below for health questionnaire) at the start of the work party and provide contact details for contact tracing.
We will assign sections of the work area to individuals in order to promote 2m distancing throughout.
We will have a container for “clean” tools and a second container for “used” tools.
Tarps will be assigned to 1-2 volunteers in order to reduce contact.
Volunteers who own gardening gloves and gardening tools, please bring your own. We will have a bag of clean gloves available as well.
We ask that volunteers please bring their own snack and beverages.
