We are looking for Volunteers to assist Family & Children’s Program staff to provide engaging activities for young children in a safe, friendly and supportive environment at the new Lions Gate Community Rec Centre in North Vancouver.
What You Will be Doing
Welcoming parent/family member attending programs with children 0 – 5 years old
Helping toddlers and preschoolers with arts and crafts, playing games
Helping with program set-up, snack preparation, and cleanup of toys & play area
Qualifications
Experience with young children
Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm
Good verbal communication and listening skills
Strong observation skills
Good conflict resolution skills
ECE or ECEA certificate is an asset
Basic First Aid is an asset
Successful completion of Criminal Record Check
Time Commitment
2.5 or 5 hours a week. Mondays and/or Wednesdays from 10:00 – 12:30 pm. There are no programs on Stat Holidays.
