We are looking for 2-3 volunteers to oversee the distribution of AIDS Vancouver donation boxes, collection and accounting of these funds. As well as, developing the Red Ribbon social media campaign and overall program development. The volunteers will work on a flexible schedule, however, the position requires a working day availability.
The agency is looking to rebrand and recreate the Red Ribbon Campaign. We are interested in highly motivated individuals looking to grow in the Fund Development sector along with building their social service skills. This position has a very flexible schedule, which will depend on the volunteers availability.
Duties:
– Travelling about Vancouver`s Yaletown, Davie Village and
West End neighbourhoods distributing donation boxes and
collecting money from said boxes located at participating
venues
– Accounting and recording of collected funds
– Approaching new potential vendors in regards to accepting
donation boxes in venue
– Directing group of volunteers
– Developing and Planning Red Ribbon Program
Skills and Attributes:
– Criminal Record Check required
– Social Media skills
– Cash handling experience
– Basic skills with MS Word, MS Excel
– Comfortable performing cold calls
– Friendly, personable demeanour
– Honest
– Program development skills
– Works well as part of a team
