Special Olympics BC – Delta Local Volunteer Position Description: Treasurer Special Olympics Delta – our Mission is to provide individuals with an intellectual disability the opportunity to enhance their life and celebrate personal achievement through positive sport experiences. Specific Skills Required: Experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper is mandatory. This position would require a mandatory criminal records check. Position Description: We are looking for an experienced accountant or bookkeeper to assist with the management of funds for the Local Executive. As a voting member of the Local Executive, you would be required to attend monthly meetings. Outside of the meetings you would be expected to compile monthly financial statements for the Local and issue cheques on an ad hoc basis. Preference will be given to individuals residing in Delta.
