Opportunity Description:

Are you looking for more experience working with young children? Do you love to play, sing, craft, and explore? Are you a woman 19 or older?

We  are seeking new volunteers to help girls achieve greatness in the Kitsilano, Downtown, Cambie, and Oak st neighbourhoods.

We have a particular need for volunteers for one of our Spark units (5 and 6 year old girls)  and two of our Brownie units ( 7 & 8 year old girls) meeting in the evenings. Sparks and Brownies are curious, active, and eager to learn about their world!

Our volunteer Guiders work together to plan weekly crafts and activities, adventures, and occasional sleepovers or camps. You can expect about 2 hours per week on an average week, plus extra time for sleepovers or camps. We provide great training and mentorship, so you’re never on your own.

Guiding isn’t just great for girls: our adult members find friendship, professional and personal development, and amazing adventures, too!
