Opportunity Description:

A great opportunity to work in a fun, fast paced, healthcare, team environment!

Objectives:

-To provide friendly support and service to customers, patients, visitors and staff visiting the hospital and gift shop

-To help raise funds for hospital patient programs

-Commitment: Minimum of one 2-3 hour weekly shift for at least 4 Months. Longer commitment preferred.

Weekday Shift Times Available:

7:50am-10:00am
9:45am-1:00pm
12:45-4:00pm
3:30-6:00pm

 

DELIVERABLES/DUTIES:

-Greet and assist customers, patients, visitors and staff
-Support, listen and interact with patients visiting the shop
-Deter shoplifting and provide excellent customer service
-Operate cash register (Visa/MC, Direct Payment, cash sales)
-Balance the cash at the end of the shift and deliver the cash to the hospital cashier (Information Desk) and obtain a receipt for the cash delivered.
-Stock shelves, organize and tidy shop
-Deliver flowers and other items to patients

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Able to assist clients who have physical and/or cognitive challenges
-Able to assist and interact with clients active in addictions
-Physically capable of assisting clients in wheelchairs and carrying out the physical duties of the position
-Able to communicate well in verbal and written English
-Friendly, self motivated and outgoing
-Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or in a team
-Able to follow detailed directions and procedures
-Courteous, mature and non-judgmental
-Cash-handling experience a bonus
