Are you looking for meaningful volunteer work? Do you like to be in service for people? Why not consider volunteering at the Labyrinth at St. Paul’s Church in the West End?
The labyrinth at St. Paul’s is a walking meditation space. Based on the medieval floor pattern at Chartres Cathedral in France, it features a singular path in to the centre of the space and back out again. The ancient rite of walking a labyrinth can be a reflective, spiritual process.
We are looking for volunteers to host this quiet, contemplative space.
Volunteers oversee the labyrinth and “hold” the space; welcome people, answer questions and provide information; help to organize things and generally make things happen.
Volunteering is easy and you can make a meaningful contribution with just a few hours a month. No experience required.
Our volunteers all receive training and orientation to make sure they feel confident in their role.
We are looking for volunteers to host the space for 2 hour shifts on weekend mornings, 1 hour shifts weekdays, two candle lit Friday evenings, one of which includes live music, New Year’s Eve and Day and other events. We’re also open to volunteer help in other areas.
Please contact with inquiries or to volunteer.
