Lean In Canada is expanding! We are looking for a smart, self-driven, ambitious individual based in Vancouver to lead and set up an official regional chapter of Lean In Canada in Vancouver.   For the right person, this is the opportunity of a lifetime, a chance to make a real impact on/for women in Vancouver.   This person will be solely responsible for initiating and leading the Vancouver regional chapter, working closely with the Lean In National Expansion Committee out of Toronto.   The regional president (and the local committee they build) will be supported with official onboarding training, chapter launch toolkit, as well as ongoing support & communication with the national expansion committee out of Toronto.   This is a 2-year commitment.   Responsibilities: Hire and onboard regional chapter committee Build regional chapter strategy and Year 1 operating plan (including financial proposal and events/program calendar) and present to the Lean In Canada board for review Collaborate closely with national expansion committee to align on and deliver Year 1 KPI’s Work closely with national expansion committee to ensure Lean In Canada operating standards are met (Full onboarding & training will be provided) Commitment to regular touchpoints with national expansion committee to ensure operations are on track Work with national expansion committee to co-author formal wrap report of Vancouver chapter set up at the 3-6 month mark – to capture learnings and best practices to future regional chapters in other cities   Qualifications / Attributes: Passionate about supporting women Entrepreneurial, proactive nature: We are building the plane as it flies, and ability to work independently with little direction is important Solutions-oriented: This is our first time setting up a regional chapter – we will make mistakes – let’s laugh together, learn together, and improve together Proven leadership experience – this person will lead the regional chapter committee Proven sponsorship and/or client-facing experience Familiarity with nonprofit structures (previous volunteer board experience a plus) Based in Vancouver area, with a strong, diverse local network Comfort with working / collaborating remotely with the Toronto national chapter (Skype, phone, emails) 8+ years work experience Nice to have – Occasional personal travel to Toronto   Lean In Canada is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization.
