Description

The team lead is responsible for the efficient planning and execution of the Latin American events and parade during Canada Day. This is a multi-dimensional position that requires an individual who is a self-starter, with strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to relate to the many different entities involved in the planning and execution of the event.

Job Summary

✓ Responsible for coordinating volunteers to their assigned positions

✓ Take on-spot decisions for the event to run more efficiently and smoothly

✓ Communicate with event service providers

✓ Provide ongoing assistance and support for the volunteer team and PM

✓ Finding solutions to any problem that arise during the event

✓ Producing post event analysis, evaluation and recommendation reports

✓ Provide all the information and details about the event

✓ Plan all the activities and schedule for Canada Day Parade

✓ Looking for a bus or bikes to rent

✓ Search for possible sponsors and partners

✓ Provide all the decoration

✓ Work closely to Graphic Design to create posters and flyers

✓ Looking for any licence needed

✓ Create an invitation for the communities to join the parade

✓ Organized schedule for the communities

✓ Create a thank you note for the communities and send it

✓ Producing post event analysis, evaluation and recommendation reports

✓ Work closely with Marketing team to ensure that event is promoted in the best way.

Skills & Responsibilities

✓ A self-starter that enjoys working with people

✓ Ability to coordinate direct and motivate a team

✓ Good interpersonal and supervisory skills

✓ Ability to work with diverse group of individuals

✓ Ability to delegate tasks and work under pressure

✓ Ability to work with flexibility energy and commitment

✓ Work closely and reporting to the Project Manager to ensure that all logistical arrangements are successfully completed and executed

✓ Compiling post event reports

✓ Strong communication skills in English

✓ Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is an asset
