Latincouver (Latin American Week Runner Coordinator)

Latin American Week Runner assists with whatever is needed during events. The responsibilities vary depending on which one of the Latin American Week events the Runner is assigned to. A runner can be assigned to one of the following events: Canada Day Parade, Fiesta Blanca on a Cruise, Art Exhibition, Latin American Film Festival, Flamenco, Tango and Wine and Carnaval Del Sol, Music Workshop

Skills & Responsibilities

✓ Physical ability to move event supplies

✓ Ability to work with flexibility, energy and commitment

✓ Must be able to communicate well in English

✓ Prior event experience considered an asset

✓ Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is an asset

Job Summary

✓ Provide all the suppliers for each event

✓ Rent everything needed, such as tents, tables, chairs, screens

✓ Help with material promotion

✓ Working closely with all the artists to recognize their needs

✓ Looking after events participants

✓ Take care of all licences, if necessary

✓ Working with other volunteer

✓ Looking for food and beverages, if necessary

✓ Fetching and carrying items and equipment

✓ Helping in the set up and tear down

✓ Delivering messages to team members during the event

✓ Looking after event participants

✓ Making and handing out tea, coffee and food

✓ Assist other volunteers with their duties

✓ Perform other actions as requested by volunteer managers.
