Opportunity Description:

Ignite the Warmth Society is a grassroots, registered non-profit organization aiming to bring awareness to the issues of homelessness and poverty through three main fronts: facilitate, educate, and communicate. Our goal is to explore how we can begin to eliminate that stigma of homelessness and how students can engage with the issues of poverty that exist in our own neighbourhood.

Ignite the Warmth is currently seeking a volunteer passionate about community development and communicating social issues like poverty and homelessness. As the volunteer coordinator, the applicant will serve on the executive committee and work closely with the team to communicate volunteer opportunities, delegate tasks, and oversee the organization of the volunteer database for Ignite the Warmth. This position provides an excellent opportunity for developing skills in volunteer management and human resources. Training and mentorship opportunities will be provided.
