Latincouver (Volunteers Chiquitzin)

We are looking for responsible and passionate people with a good attitude to support us in child care and activities at Chiquitzin Plaza Café.

About Chiquitzin Plaza Café:

At Latincouver, together with Creative Cha Cha Cha, we created an educational space for children from 0 to 5 years old in order to teach them Latin culture and the Spanish language while their parents are working.

Here, children connect with their Latin American roots and learn about the culture of their ancestors in the Spanish language through playful activities.

Volunteer Requirements:

Responsible adult who likes the care and education of children from 0 to 5 years old
Spanish language (not mandatory but preferable)
Fun, creative, patient and committed to carry out different activities with children.
Previous experience in early childhood education or care with children from 0 to 5 years old (Preferable)
First Aid Certificate and/or Responsible Adult Certificate (Preferable).

* Volunteers are eligible to study and get certificates in Creative cha cha cha at a special rate.

Courses:

Responsible Adult Course – 20 hours

First Aid 

creative art and sensory activities

Reggio Emilia Introduction 

Nanny Training in Canada

Duties:

Leading and managing children 0 to 5 years old
Teaching and guiding children 0 to 5 years old
Planning and implementing engaging crafts and hands-on learning experiences
Communicate with parents and staff in an effective and positive way
Keep the environment clean, including sanitizing, sweeping, dusting, washing dishes,

Schedules:

Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday.

From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Required hours: 4 hours a week. (48 hours per month)

Spanish:

Buscamos personas responsable, apasionada a trabajar con  los niños  y con buena actitud que nos apoye en el cuidado infantil y actividades en Chiquitzin Plaza Café.

Acerca de Chiquitzin Plaza Café:

En Latincouver junto con Creative Cha Cha Cha, creamos un espacio educativo para niños de 0 a 5 años con el fin de enseñarles la cultura latina y el idioma español mientras sus padres están trabajando.

Aquí, los niños conectan con sus raíces latinoamericanas y aprenden acerca de la cultura de sus ancestros en el idioma español a través de actividades lúdicas. 

Requisitos para voluntarios:

Adulto responsable que le guste el cuidado y educación de niños de 0 a 5 años
Idioma español (no obligatorio pero preferible)
Divertido, creativo, paciente y comprometido para realizar actividades con niños. 
Experiencia previa en educación infantil o cuidado con niños de 0 a 5 años (Preferible)
Certificado de First Aid y/o Responsible Adult Certificate (Preferible). 

* Los voluntarios son elegibles a tomar los cursos de Creative Cha Cha Cha con una tarifa especial.

Deberes:

– Guiar  y cuidar niños de 0 a 5 años .

– Supervisar a los niños y mantener las áreas seguras

– Organizar, limpiar y desinfectar los materiales y el área de chiquitzin

– Crear y preparar materiales educativos

Horarios:

Lunes, miércoles y/o viernes.

De 10:00 am a 2:00 pm

Horas requeridas: 4 horas a la semana. (48 horas al mes)
