Opportunity Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

We want to leverage the Young Women in Business (YWiB) brand and reputation to help us strengthen our existing relationships and build new ones. We’re eager to shape lasting relationships with our members, chapters and communities through multiple channels.

The Website Coordinator will work with the Director of Marketing to provide support, advice create resources and advice to YWiB chapters to assist them in their yearly goals.

The Website Coordinator is responsible for providing support to YWiB chapters with website
maintenance, ensuring consistency across website pages in terms of branding, content and usability as well as troubleshooting issues. The Coordinator assists in ensuring that there is effective communication between the chapters and the national team. This position is instrumental in ensuring that there is clear communication between chapters and the
National Team. The Website Coordinator ensures that YWiB showcases a consistent, united brand with reliable messaging and navigation on our website to members and the general public. The Website Coordinator will also take ownership of projects related to the website.

The Website Coordinator reports to and works with the Director of Marketing.

You understand the importance of a well-functioning website and are experienced in handling requests and dealing with multiple clients. You enjoy being behind-the-scenes and helping things run smoothly.
You’re happy to be a support and resource and are invested in professional development for young women across Canada.

WORK PERFORMED
● Serve as a point of contact for all City & University chapters requests, questions, and concerns.
● Ensuring strong communication of relevant information within the organization.
● Website updates, page creations for new chapters and troubleshooting as needed.
● Training chapter representatives on website update procedures and protocols.
● Identifying areas for facilitating connections in cross-chapter collaboration.
● Act as a key resource for existing and new YWiB chapters and as such must have a strong
knowledge base of branding and marketing policy within the organization.
● Research and development of a website platform optimization strategy.
● Regular meetings with Director of Marketing and/or National Team.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Demonstrated experience using content management systems for content and design updates
(SquareSpace preferred.)
• Knowledge of CSS and HTML is preferred in this role.
• Knowledge of JavaScript or jQuery would be an asset.
• An ability to learn and adapt quickly and be a proactive problem solver.
• Strong relationship management skills and enjoys working with people.
• Is organized, resourceful and detail oriented.
