Opportunity Description:

At the Canadian Cancer Society, Wig Bank and Breast Prosthesis Services Volunteers are vital in ensuring that all Canadians, no matter where they live, can access free wigs and breast accessories with just a simple call or click.

The Wig Bank and Breast Prosthesis Services Volunteer will support many aspects of the program and contribute to the program’s success.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Collaborate with the inventory administrator
Perform practical support duties such as virtual consultations and in-person fittings
Support the Wig and Breast banks Coordinator with the requests, follow-ups either virtually by telephone or email.
Validating that the returned or donated Breast prosthesis or accessories are new and can be used
Maintaining and organizing of the Breast prosthesis and accessories inventory.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

An individual with:

Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to demonstrate compassion, high emotional intelligence and self-awareness in a virtual and in-person settings
Nursing experience is an asset
