Opportunity Description:

Looking Glass Foundation was established in 2002 by families seeking care for their loved ones, who were suffering from life-threatening eating disorders. Thanks to the commitment, courage, and dedication of these founding families, and many others who came on board to support, the organization has become an important contributor to the continuum of care for those struggling with eating disorders.

We will be celebrating Looking Glass Foundation’s 20th Anniversary at this year’s gala on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at the stunning Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver (1038 Canada Pl, Vancouver, BC V6C 0B9). This event is an opportunity to bring the community together and raise vital funds that will directly benefit the programs and services provided by Looking Glass Foundation. We are looking for volunteers to help with various tasks during our Reflections Gala from 2pm to 11pm the next day. Tasks include:

Set up/Tear down
Coat check
Greeting guests
Registration
Vaccine Passport Check
Raffle
Auction Management/Running
Donation
Gift bags

You will be representing the Looking Glass Foundation and we require our event volunteers to be comfortable interacting with guests, be welcoming and engage with them about our organization and how they can support those in need in the community.

Before registering, please note:

– All volunteers need to be age 19 and above
– All volunteers will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
– All volunteers need to be responsible for their own transportation
– Meals will be provided for the evening volunteer shifts
– Dress code: A black shirt or top with black pants, shorts, skirt, or dress that reaches their knees and is easy to move in. Comfortable closed toe shoes, preferably black, with little or no heels
