The Social Media Coordinator will be coordinating the social media team to develop, plan, and deliver marketing strategies to promote Carnaval Del Sol and Latin American Week in social media. This role coordinates with the Marketing and Graphic Design team to ensure consistency in voice and cultivating a social media referral network.

Period: April-July 2019
Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
- Schedule, create, and manage all published content on a daily basis. Work closely with the graphic design team to create marketing materials and external social media team
- Conduct online promotions and open stream for cross-promotions
- Design, create and manage promotions and Social ad campaigns
- Compile weekly social media reports to present to PM
- Conduct real-time monitoring throughout the social media platforms
- Initiate social media dialogues to build personal relations with users
- Participate in developing of all the content for social media platforms
- Create promotional videos (optional)
- Develop strong brand awareness for Carnaval Del Sol on social media
- Research to identify opportunities for promotion at events
- Coordinate delivering promotional material
- Liaising with marketing, PR, and Social Media colleagues to promote the event
- Outreach with local community groups for cross promotion
- Manage volunteers marketing & promotion
Skills
- Possesses in-depth knowledge & understanding of Social Media platforms
- Ability to work with flexibility, energy and commitment
- Resourcefulness and creativity
- A self-starter with good interpersonal and supervisory skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese is an asset
- Prior experience in online marketing is preferred
