About Gathering Place Education Centre
At Gathering Place Education Centre, our mission is to offer educational programs in as flexible a format as possible to enable our students to complete their secondary education in a friendly and caring adult environment.
Gathering Place offers basic reading, writing and math skills through some Grade 12 courses. The Centre serves a great diversity of students – from ages 16 to seniors; from many different language and ethnic groups; and from communities throughout the Lower Mainland. Many students face multiple barriers in achieving their educational goals.
Gathering Place offers flexible programs that permit students to pursue academic goals in a variety of ways. Upgrading and computer courses are offered throughout the year including July and August. This year-round program, which includes evening courses, allows students to attend part-time or full-time.
Students at Gathering Place work with an Academic Advisor to develop an individual graduation plan and can choose between a number of learning options: scheduled classroom courses, self-paced ungraded and academic courses.

July & August:
