Sea Smart is a Vancouver-based charity that delivers online programs, school workshops, after school programs, summer camps, shoreline clean-ups and corporate programs. Our fun hands-on programs get people excited about our oceans and empowers them to make the world a better place. Our team of marine biologists and oceanographers are passionate about youth education and environmental sustainability. “Individually, we are one drop. We empower youth, families, teachers and communities to connect with nature and make the world a better place. In 4 years, Sea Smart has: - Educated and empowered almost 500,000 youth across the world to become ocean heroes through fun, hands-on games and activities - Provided free online educator resources on ocean and freshwater plastic pollution to over 54,500 students in 17 countries. - Designed and launched an Oceans Plastics Education Kit that reached over 387,000 students in over 20 countries.

Science World is a charitable non-profit and science centre based in Vancouver, BC that engages learners across the province in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art & design and math). Visitors to our iconic geodesic dome explore interactive, hands-on exhibits and galleries that nurture their process of discovery and inspire connection with their natural, physical and built environments. Participants in our outreach programs—students, teachers and families in every region of BC—access the experience of Science World through virtual visits from scientists, livestream science shows, and weekly afterschool STEAM mentorship. At Science World, we inspire the next generation of problem solvers, world changers and nerds.

We are Science Communicators (or #scicomm enthusiasts) passionate about networking and providing career resources for those wanting to pursue scicomm careers. Join the 2022 School Helpers Tutoring Team! School Helpers is a non-profit, student-run tutoring organization, with students and tutors across Canada. Formed in 2020 by a high school student, School Helpers aims to support families and students during the challenging time of COVID-19. All tutors are volunteer high school/undergraduate university students (ages 13-22), and all tutoring occurs online. School Helpers tutors are subject to the responsibility of conducting/organizing online tutoring sessions and catering their lessons in such a way that best suits the learning style of their student(s). Tutors must be able to help their student(s) in at least one of the following subjects: English, Social Studies, Math, Science, or French. Any additional subjects that are not previously mentioned are also encouraged (please specify this in the application). #SaveHastings is a non-profit charity that focuses on supporting the homeless population of Hastings street. We have a market connection which supplies us food. Throughout the year we plan to donate this food by handing them out along Hastings Street on a monthly basis. We also curate and distribute packages called "Hastings Hope Kits" which contain essential toiletries and items to the homeless population of Hastings St., Vancouver!

The Saint James Music Academy, or the SJMA, is a non-profit organization that engages and empowers at-risk and underserved youth in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside (DTES) through the powers of arts education. It is a convergence of musicians, music lovers, and passionate community members who share in the belief that music – listening to music, learning music, being surrounded by music, being part of the music – is a powerful ally in generating joyful and positive social transformation. The SJMA believes that music is an opportunity that should be accessible to all regardless of their social or economic status.

S.U.C.C.E.S.S., our primary service delivery entity, was founded in 1973 and incorporated in 1974 as a non-partisan and non-profit charitable organization. Initially founded to assist new Canadians of Chinese descent to overcome language and cultural barriers, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. has evolved into a multicultural, multi-service agency assisting people at all stages of their Canadian experience. Today, the organization is recognized as one of British Columbia’s largest social service providers. With over 20 locations, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. proudly services local communities in Greater Vancouver, Fort St. John and overseas in Taipei, Taiwan and Seoul, Korea. Through advocacy, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is also recognized as a prominent voice of positive social change. Guided by policies envisioned by a board of volunteer directors elected by the membership, over 400 professional staff and 2,000 volunteers deliver a multitude of services in the areas of settlement, employment, health and housing as well as business, auto insurance, economic, community and social development. S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Multi-Level Care (MLC) Society was incorporated in 1995 to deliver a continuum of care to seniors. With support from Vancouver Coastal Health, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. MLC Society manages and operates Chieng’s Adult Day Centre, two assisted living residences, Harmony House and Austin Harris Residence as well as a multi-level care facility, Simon K.Y. Lee Seniors Care Home. S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation was incorporated in 2001 to raise funds essential for under-funded and non-funded programs as well as to manage endowments on behalf of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. MLC Society. Annual major fundraising events include the Gala Dinner, Charity Golf Tournament and the “Walk with the Dragon,” one of Vancouver’s largest community-based fundraisers which draws over 12,000 individual and corporate participants.
