Coding Pals Foundation is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality computer programming instruction to help expose students to code. With most schools lacking the necessary resources to teach students how to program, Coding Pals hopes to bridge that gap and provide essential programming tutorials and lessons.

A coding camp started by Timila, a high school student in BC, seeking to spread her knowledge of coding and programming to anyone and everyone, but specifically targeted at middle school level students.

Established in 1989, Coastal Research, Education, and Advocacy Network empowers vulnerable low-income and racialized youth through research, education, and advocacy. Our community-based research informs our services, with the intention of deepening connections and improving the lives of youth, families, and their communities. We work closely with residents and community leaders in British Columbia and Ontario to advocate, both locally and nationally, on behalf of youth to make our province a better place to live. Coast Mental Health has been helping people recover from mental illness since 1972. We operate 54 locations throughout Greater Vancouver and provide services to over 5,000 individuals annually. Coast Mental Health’s care is based on three pillars: - Housing: We take a “housing first” approach. Coast Mental Health connects people living with chronic mental illness or addictions with secure housing as an essential part of their recovery. Today, we provide a continuum of residential care services to almost 1,500 people at 54 sites throughout the lower mainland. - Support services: Through our support services, we help clients build on their strengths, access existing government and community resources, manage their health, and live richer lives. - Employment/education: Our employment and educational programs boost self-confidence, add meaning to client’s lives, and improve financial independence.

Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA) is a unique and innovative community justice initiative for post release support and accountability of offenders in and by the community. CoSA VFV also provides public education programming on how to create safe communities for all.

CoDevelopment Canada is nonprofit, international solidarity organization that works for social change and global education in the Americas. Founded in 1985 by a group of activists who wanted to go beyond financial aid, CoDev builds partnerships between like-minded organizations in Canada and Latin America to foster learning, social change, and community empowerment. These partnerships educate Canadians about Latin America and allow them to directly support the region. Cluborate (Cluborate Community) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to see all the youth organizations that aspire to create greater impacts to the people around us. We hope to expose both clubs and students to more opportunities to learn, engage and grow from participating in what interests us. At Cluborate, we are firm believers in providing youth with opportunities to get connected and connecting initiatives so they could collaborate to create greater impacts. We hope to see youth clubs and organizations working together to build a memorable high-school experience for students and volunteer executives. As each of us has our own unique talents and ambitions, we aspire for all youth to have a platform to connect with each other.

ClimateScience aims to empower people to make real long-term solutions to climate change actionable through climate education. We hope our way of covering solutions makes people excited to contribute to clean energy, sustainable agriculture, and other global-scale sustainability issues – beyond reusing their plastic bags. We believe education is the most powerful tool in the fight against climate change.

Do you want to make the difference in the lives of families in our community? CityReach Care Society is looking for motivated and enthusiastic volunteers to help prepare fresh and healthy food hampers to serve over 1000 families each week. Food for Families is a free, nutritious foodbank for vulnerable families and seniors in the Greater Vancouver Area. We serve over 1000 households with wholesome and healthy food including fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, proteins and grains.

Britannia Shipyards National Historic Site is currently recruiting for Heritage Ambassador volunteers! As a Heritage Ambassador, share the stories of the people who lived and worked at Britannia. You will be dressed in period costume while demonstrating activities that would've taken place at Britannia during its heyday. You will help with animating and activating the site with activities such as playing cards, maritime know tying, unique boat building techniques, embroidery, vintage lawn games, sewing and more! No experience required with training and costumes provided. Volunteers will not be acting/in character. Volunteers must be 15+ years, have excellent communication skills and be willing to learn and share their knowledge and enthusiasm with the public. Shift times are: Fall/Winter/Spring 11:45am-4:15pm, Tue-Sun Summer (May 20-Sep 5) 10:45am-4:15pm, 7 days a week

GoodLife Fitness City Chase is Canada's largest urban adventure race. It is a mix between a 10k road race and the amazing race. Racers are teamed up and required to solve a clue sheet that will lead them to scattered locations across the city.

CircusWest Performing Arts Society presents CircusFest 2014 from November 6th-9th in some of Vancouver’s most reputable venues including The Cultch, PNE Garden Auditorium, Wise Hall and Sideshow Studios. CircusFest celebrates the incredible talent and skill of circus artists and performers from across the Pacific Northwest. The festival will bring the Circus Community together over 4 spectacular days of performance, discussion, installation and more. CircusFest is the first of its kind in Vancouver and we need dedicated volunteers like you to help it be the best of its kind! Participation in the festival gives volunteers the chance to hone their skills, establish friendships, engage with Circus Arts and network within the community.
