The Kettle Society's mission is to enhance the quality of life for individuals living with mental illness. We do this by providing advocacy, housing, employment and community services; offering opportunities to gather and access compassionate assistance; supporting recovery for those living with mental illness; promoting mental health in the community; and promoting inclusion of individuals living with mental illness in all aspects of society.

Collingwood Neighbourhood House (CNH) provides services and community development initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of residents in the Renfrew-Collingwood area of east Vancouver. Activities are targeted primarily to low and middle income families. Services are delivered in a variety of languages with emphasis on building social connections, capacity, cross-cultural sharing and life-long learning. Residents of all ages participate in educational, cultural, social, health, economic and recreational services, as well as contribute towards building a safe and caring community through volunteer contributions, leadership and partnership development. CNH is a non-profit, social services agency serving the community since 1985. We are guided by our vision, mission, and values statements to provide services and opportunities to our community. We offer licensed child care (including $10/day child care), immigrant services, recreation, youth, seniors and intercultural opportunities, including programs related to food, arts and celebrations, community initiatives, intercultural projects, and homelessness outreach. In 2020, we became the first neighbourhood house in North America to operate a Community Health Centre.

We are a registered charity that operates two programs: a Sunday Free Breakfast for the Homeless which operates year-round out, and an emergency cold weather Warming Centre in the winter months. Both projects operate out of the Odd Fellows' Hall at 1443 W 8th in Vancouver. The Sunday Breakfast operates 9:30-11:30am every Sunday year round. The Warming Centre operates 9:30pm-8:30am on nights when the "feels like" temperature gets down to -4 or colder. We welcome new applications for volunteers for both projects.

Coast Mental Health has been helping people recover from mental illness since 1972. We operate 54 locations throughout Greater Vancouver and provide services to over 5,000 individuals annually. Coast Mental Health’s care is based on three pillars: - Housing: We take a “housing first” approach. Coast Mental Health connects people living with chronic mental illness or addictions with secure housing as an essential part of their recovery. Today, we provide a continuum of residential care services to almost 1,500 people at 54 sites throughout the lower mainland. - Support services: Through our support services, we help clients build on their strengths, access existing government and community resources, manage their health, and live richer lives. - Employment/education: Our employment and educational programs boost self-confidence, add meaning to client’s lives, and improve financial independence.

Hello! Hope you're doing well. I'm Aparna Mody. I work at The Salvation Army (Northshore Ministry) as a Kettle Coordinator. As you may know, the Christmas Kettle Campaign is our largest fundraising drive of the year. With more than 2,000 kettle locations across Canada, the kettle not only raises critical funds but also boosts the Army's visibility and promotes awareness about the causes we support. To continue to make the campaign a success, we rely heavily on kind-hearted and compassionate volunteers who would be willing to give a few hours of their day to be a: - Kettle Host - Driver/Supervisor Should you come across any of your members who'd be interested in participating, please have them reach out to me or they could walk up to our office to have a quick chat too. The Mount Pleasant Community Policing Centre (MPCPC) is a volunteer-driven non-profit governed by a community-based board. The MPCPC promotes crime prevention and safety in partnership with residents, community agencies and the Vancouver Police Department. Additionally, by acting as a liaison between the Vancouver Police Department and community agencies the MPCPC works to create a safe and inclusive neighborhood while supporting the community's most vulnerable. The MPCPC engages the community in volunteer-driven programs and other community-based services. Building on that, the MPCPC operates a warm and welcoming storefront to connect residents with those CPC programs and other community-based services.

The Delview Leos Club is a youth-run service organization, as a youth branch of Lions International. We work in the community through volunteer events to build leadership, new opportunities, and experience for the future. Our members, aged 13-18, work diligently in the Delta community to create a better community and improve our futures.

Our mission is to connect with and inspire seniors through the power of live music. This helps strengthen their sense of belonging in the communities where they live. We are serving senior homes, long-term care, and assisted living facilities across Metro Vancouver area.

The GWCPC The Grandview-Woodland Community Policing Centre is dedicated to providing crime prevention assistance and education to the Commercial Drive corridor and surrounding area. ​Members of the community are encouraged, through education and engagement in volunteering with the GWCPC, to become active participants in increasing safety awareness and decreasing opportunities for crime to occur. #SaveHastings is a non-profit charity that focuses on supporting the homeless population of Hastings street. We have a market connection which supplies us food. Throughout the year we plan to donate this food by handing them out along Hastings Street on a monthly basis. We also curate and distribute packages called "Hastings Hope Kits" which contain essential toiletries and items to the homeless population of Hastings St., Vancouver!
