We are a small non profit sewing club composed of a few individuals, who seek  a patient person(s) to instruct us in basic sewing techniques.  Please contact volunteer leader G. Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), North and West Vancouver branch is a not-for-profit, charitable organization. We provide a wide range of innovative and essential services and supports tailored to and in partnership with the communities of North and West Vancouver, Bowen Island, the Sunshine Coast and the Sea-to-Sky Corridor. The North and West Vancouver Branch of CMHA has been providing services to the North Shore community since 1958 and we embrace people with mental health issues in all facets of our organization – as Board Directors, volunteers and employees. We dedicate ourselves to empowering, supporting and improving the quality of life of mental health consumers and increasing the overall wellness of our communities.

We are an emerging collective of diverse trainers, facilitators, and practitioners committed to supporting collaboration and inclusion in organizations and communities working for racial and climate justice. We do this by building skills, practices and systems that subvert structures and habits of dominance, right/wrong thinking, shaming and blaming, and reward and punishment. We offer training, coaching and consulting services that allow organizations to attend to impact and harm as it arises, building trust and connection. When there is a foundation of trust and connection, challenges and conflicts become sources of inspiration, creativity, learning and growth.

Beehouse Foundation is a non-profit company dedicated to empowering individuals to share their unique stories and providing them with the necessary tools and support to become professional creators. We firmly believe that everyone possesses a voice worth hearing, and we strive to create opportunities for individuals to share their stories, which have the power to inspire, educate, and entertain others. At Beehouse, we recognize the importance of storytelling and its potential to create positive social impact. Our mission is to foster an inclusive and supportive environment where individuals from all backgrounds can express themselves creatively and gain the skills needed to pursue professional careers as creators. We accomplish our mission through a range of initiatives, including the development of innovative AI tools and hosting workshops and creator-thons. These activities provide individuals with the knowledge, resources, and guidance they need to unleash their creativity and effectively share their stories with the world. Our tools are designed to be user-friendly, accessible, and tailored to the diverse needs of creators. Through these tools, individuals can explore different mediums such as writing, photography, videography, podcasting, and more, allowing them to express themselves in ways that resonate with their unique talents and interests. In addition to providing tools, we host workshops and creator-thons that offer valuable learning experiences and hands-on guidance. These events bring together aspiring creators, industry professionals, and mentors to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and foster collaboration. Participants have the opportunity to enhance their skills, receive feedback on their work, and gain insights into the creative industry. Central to our organization's ethos is the belief that everyone's story matters. We actively promote inclusivity, diversity, and the amplification of underrepresented voices. We provide a platform for individuals from marginalized communities to share their stories and experiences, helping to bridge gaps, break stereotypes, and promote understanding. Give Back Market is a social purchasing platform for smallholder organic spice farmers. The platform has launched a Combat Hunger Challenge on the World Food Programme's Share the Meal app to bring much needed food and supplies to families and children around the world.

Point Grey Village is one of the 22 Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) in Vancouver. It is managed by the Point Grey Village Business Association, a non-profit organization that each business and property owner on West 10th Avenue between Discovery and Tolmie Streets is a member of. Our BIA has a two fold mandate: 1) To improve, beautify and maintain public lands & buildings within the BIA, beyond what is provided by the municipality at large. 2) To promote the areas as a business and shopping area – including eateries, shops and services – beyond what businesses can do individually. BIA benefit local economies through various initiatives.

The PACE Program provides a range of early intervention as well as treatment services to young children and their families, where there may be ongoing concerns about the child’s emotional well-being and/or challenging behaviours. This continuum of services ranges from support within neighbourhood childcare settings, to more intensive services for children and families who have experienced significant distressing events in their life. PACE believes in providing a “wrap-around” service to families, working in partnership with parents, caregivers and other professionals. The PACE Program, operated by the PACE Child & Family Society, has been a resource for children, families and the community since 1984. The agency is primarily funded by the Ministry for Children and Family Development (MCFD). Many of the services are accredited by CARF.

Rise is a national organization dedicated to empowering people with mental health and addiction challenges to achieve greater social and economic inclusion through entrepreneurship. Rise provides training, mentorship, micro-financing and other customs supports to help individuals build the skills and access the capital they need to build small businesses that can create meaningful employment and improve quality of life. Since 2010, Rise has disbursed more than $3.1 million via 750+ low-interest loans and, with the support of 800+ volunteers nationwide, has helped empower more than 2,000 Canadians from coast to coast as entrepreneurs. At the heart of Rise’s impact is the invaluable contribution of volunteers who work in varying capacities across all programs to help guide Rise clients on their entrepreneurial journeys. Established in 1989, Coastal Research, Education, and Advocacy Network empowers vulnerable low-income and racialized youth through research, education, and advocacy. Our community-based research informs our services, with the intention of deepening connections and improving the lives of youth, families, and their communities. We work closely with residents and community leaders in British Columbia and Ontario to advocate, both locally and nationally, on behalf of youth to make our province a better place to live. The Society for Children and Youth of BC (SCY) is a unique provincial organization dedicated to improving the well-being of children and youth in British Columbia. Since 1974, the Society has focused on providing a strong voice representing children and youth. We provide support to adult duty bearers to improve the well-being of children and youth in British Columbia.
