The Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA) is a registered charity founded in 1941 by professional Canadian working artists including Group of Seven luminaries Lawren Harris, Arthur Lismer, and A.Y. Jackson. With 2,800 artist members in the FCA, we are the largest arts organization in Canada. The mission of the FCA is to advance the knowledge and appreciation of art and culture to all Canadians, offering education, exhibition and professional development in the Visual Arts, and to support and promote emerging to professional member artists.

Italian Day on The Drive is a vibrant cultural street festival celebrating Italian culture, heritage and community with over 150 street participants, comprised of partners, merchants, vendors and community organizations – and an estimated 300,000+ attendees of all ages and cultures. Commercial Drive (The Drive), home to Little Italy, is the designated location for the annual festival where the street is transformed into a lively 14 block festa. Since Italian Day’s return in 2010, the event today represents the largest one day cultural street festival in Vancouver – and perhaps in Canada. A festive community embrace, The Drive comes alive in green, white and red with piazza style animated zones, live music, food, patios, fashion, retail vendors, vehicles, activities, children’s zones and more.

Car Free Day celebrates the vibrancy of Vancouver’s diverse neighborhoods by organizing a multi-site annual arts and culture festival that reclaims traffic thoroughfares as community focused public spaces. This allows artists, local residents, performers, artisans, non-profits, and businesses to interact, engage, and re-imagine spaces normally reserved for vehicle traffic. We continue to be a green and grassroots effort, directed and organized by the local residents in each Car Free Day neighborhood.  This year the 11th Annual West End Car Free Day will take place on June 16, on Denman between Robson St. and Beach Ave.

With a mission to "Inspire Musical Excellence" and a life-long love of music VKMF is a in it's 95th year. Taking place April 9-30th in  various venues across Vancouver, with over 6000 participants of all ages attending. Volunteer for  a variety of exciting roles and shifts. Community theatre

The Roedde House Preservation Society is dedicated to the preserving, maintaining and enhancing of the Roedde House Museum and to presenting heritage exhibits and programs reflecting the early history of Vancouver for the benefit and enjoyment of present and future generations. Since the Museum’s official opening in May, 1990, the Roedde House Preservation Society has run Roedde House as a threefold facility: a museum with guided tours, including an active schools program, a venue for music and other entertainment, a rental facility for small receptions.

Boca del Lupo’s mission is to create and present extraordinary performances in unconventional spaces.  The company consciously collaborates with artists diverse in culture and practice, and seeks to engage intergenerational audiences in the Metro Vancouver area. We believe in providing equal opportunities to a diversity of artists and individuals in both emerging and leadership positions. We are devoted to accessibility and we work to broaden the participation, perception and importance of contemporary performance within the multiplicity of Canadian cultures. For Boca del Lupo, collaboration is the core tenet of our creativity. Working across cultures and disciplines our productions are energized by the collision and confluence of difference. Since our inception in 1996, our artistic focus has been one that explores cultural hybridity and interdisciplinary through consciously convening artists from diverse backgrounds and giving them voice within the work through our established processes. We also have a well-established track record in touring, a strong level of engagement with our professional arts services organizations and meaningful outreach into the community.  We proudly take our place as a theatre company that relentlessly expands creative possibilities through unprecedented innovations and partnerships with a repertoire that includes 50 original creations and unique presentations which now includes our annual Micro Performance Series and our social enterprise, MediaLab. Led by Artistic Director Sherry J. Yoon and Artistic Producer Jay Dodge, Yoon is a co-creator and director of the company’s original productions and Dodge’s writing, performances and designs are central in Boca del Lupo’s shows. During the tenure of the pair, the company has received numerous awards including Jessies for Outstanding Design, Outstanding Production, Significant Artistic Achievement and Outstanding Performance; the Critic’s Choice Award for Innovation; and the Alcan Performing Arts Award.

The Cascadia Project is an indie theater festival founded by playwright and UBC professor Bryan Wade. The festival features emerging and established playwrights performing their original plays on Granville Island.

The Vancouver Biennale is a non-profit charitable organization that exhibits great art in public space, creating a catalyst for learning, community engagement, dialogue, and social action. Our mission is to make Public Art accessible, engaging, and motivating to create vibrant and inspired communities.

Community Arts Council of Vancouver (CACV) was the first arts council in North America. Since its beginning in 1946, the Community Arts Council of Vancouver has been a contributor to shaping the cultural life of Vancouver. CACV is an independent non-profit charitable organization, unaffiliated with any government department.   Our vision is of a socially-engaged, inclusive, and vibrant city alive with community arts. Community arts is made by, with, for, and because of people sharing a sense of community, with the support of professional artists. We currently advance our vision across Vancouver through community arts programs that address social exclusion and accessibility of creative opportunities, Indigenous and non-Indigenous relationships, and sustainability in the arts sector. CACV programs include: Reframing Relations, Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival, Community Arts Network – GATHER, and Artist in Residence currently partnering with John Howard Society of the Lower Mainland.
