The Fire Dragon Festival will bring the Chinatown community together past and present through celebration, cultural activities and performances, culinary exploration, and the appreciation of intangible heritage. Our vision is to establish a community tradition through partnership and collaboration that will strengthen awareness and education about Chinatown’s cultural legacy for years to come.
We are a non profit celebrating our 50th. Festival of India Parade and Festival at Creekside Park August 27 & 28th.
We are desperately looking for volunteers in many parts of our festival. Volunteer coordinator, position for the 2 days will be the go to and main contact for all volunteers. The coordinator will report and communicate with all department heads to determine and assigned volunteers. All volunteers will be given Free FOOD Voucher to skip the line up for lunch. We will be serving Vegan food free to all the festival goers.

Good day readers, thank you for taking the time to read our post. Festival of India Feel the Bliss is celebrating our 50th. anniversary this year at CREEKSIDE PARKÂ by Science World. We are in desperate needs to find volunteers for several position during the event. Our festival feature FREE VEGETARIAN LUNCH for the public, arts, culture, music, kirtan and dance.
Part of the celebration is a procession along the Seawall from Creekside heading west to Hinge part. There will be several people that will be walking together to Hinge Park. Stop at Hinge Park for a little bit then head back to Creekside Park. Our volunteers will be responsible to keep the procession only at the pedestrian lane and not go over to bike lane.
Volunteers will get a special Free Lunch pass so you don't have to line up to get your free lunch after the procession. We will also give you a $20 food Boucher you can use to purchase special food or snacks at Govinda's Dining food booth during the event. We will very much appreciate your help and contribution If interested please connect with us ASAP.

Our Mandate:
DOXA is presented by The Documentary Media Society, a Vancouver based non-profit, charitable society (incorporated in 1998) devoted to presenting independent and innovative documentaries to Vancouver audiences. The society exists to educate the public about documentary film as an art form through DOXA Documentary Film Festival, a curated and juried festival comprised of public screenings, panel discussions, public forums and educational programs.
The 22nd annual DOXA Documentary Film Festival takes place May 4 thru 14, 2023.
DOXA also presents VanPodFest.
The Documentary Media Society is a member tenant of the 110 Arts Co-op which manages The Post at 750 office and studio facilities.

DOXA (pronounced dox'-ah) is a greek word meaning common belief or popular opinion.
Conscious connection to Mother Nature through kayaking and safety for all age ranges, including the elderly and disadvantaged.
- A. To advance the public’s appreciation of the visual and performing arts by producing art exhibitions, presentations, and performance arts events, and by proving a forum for qualified artists to exhibit, present, or perform their artistic works through participation in such events.
- B. To advance education and increase the public’s understanding and appreciation of the visual and performing arts by providing opportunities for workshops and seminars in the arts, as well as presentations to the community.
- C. To do all such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the purposes of the Society.
The PCHC-MoM Society is a registered non-profit society reflecting a broad spectrum of communities—in particular (but not limited to) a diversity of Canadian communities of Asian heritage—who are committed to the vision of a new kind of museum that can appeal both to a diverse local and global audience. Utilizing institutional partnerships with universities (including, but not limited to, for instance, the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, the University of Calgary, and Athabasca University), our vision is for community-based stakeholders to collaborate with institutions of higher education so that the latest innovations in research, teaching, and technology can shape public education, heritage conservation, and multimedia storytelling at a state-of-the-art museum.

Vancouver Heritage Foundation recognizes the diverse history and cultural heritage of Vancouver and that the city is located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh peoples.
EMV presents over 40 live performances and digital concerts a year featuring some of the most renowned artists in the early music genre drawn from all parts of the globe. It also presents concerts in Victoria on Vancouver Island under the Pacific Baroque Series banner.
In addition, Early Music Vancouver presents an annual week-long festival in the summer (including an artist-in-residence component), produces Notations (a series of informative behind-the-scenes podcasts) and presents online courses. EMV also offers a Baroque Orchestra Mentorship Programme, plus a BC Scholarship Programme for professional-track music students or active professional musicians seeking to develop skills in early music performance.
Founded in 1972, Place des Arts is a not-for-profit arts education centre with a mission to inspire the artist in everyone. Located in the historic Maillardville neighbourhood of Coquitlam, we offer quality instruction for all ages and skill levels in the visual, literary and performing arts.
All classes and lessons are taught by highly skilled working professionals who take pride in ensuring all students receive personalized attention. Class sizes are based on the needs of the content, while maintaining a low teacher-to-student ratio.
Our Artisan Shop and galleries support local emerging artists, and our events and performances make us a cultural hub, drawing together diverse members of the community to experience the arts.
