The Improv Centre is Vancouver’s leading and best known improv theatre company. It was originally formed in 1981 under the name The Vancouver TheatreSports League. It was founded to promote, develop, maintain and present improvisational theatre productions and presentations to local and visiting audiences in Vancouver. The Improv Centre office and 186 seat theatre are located on Vancouver’s Granville Island. Each year, over 60,000 audience members, artists and students enjoy our theatre’s productions.

The Dance Centre is the leading resource centre for dance in British Columbia, supporting the development of the art of dance through a range of activities that is unparalleled in Canada. We provide resources and programs for dance professionals; present public performances and events; bring dance to the community through outreach programs; operate Scotiabank Dance Centre, our creative hub in downtown Vancouver; and promote BC dance. The United Scottish Cultural Society is a registered BC non-profit organization with representation from various Scottish organizations located in the Metro Vancouver area. Crazy8s is a Vancouver-based film initiative run by the Crazy8s Film Society, a registered BC not-for-profit organization. Since 1999, it has supported emerging and mid-career Canadian filmmakers by providing funding, mentorship, and industry resources to produce professional short films. To date, Crazy8s has produced over 150 films that have screened and won awards at festivals worldwide.

The Vancouver Comic Arts Association runs the Vancouver Comics Arts Festival, or VanCAF! A two day festival at the Yaletown Roundhouse Community Centre that celebrates a diversity of voices and opens readers to new experiences; creates discussions through comics; and make comics creation and the reading of comics as accessible as possible.
