Plastic Oceans Foundation Canada, a Federally Incorporated NFP, and Canadian Registered Charity, is a Plastic Awareness Coalition, utilizing the power of film and other media to educate Canadians to “rethink plastic” and inspire behavioral change. Working in collaboration with like-minded organisations across Canada we are combining efforts to solve a global problem through local action. We aim to educate Canadians to become plastic literate, so they can make informed decisions about how and when they accept plastic and challenge society’s perception that this indestructible substance can be treated as ‘disposable’. We must solve the problem within a generation. Our Charitable Purposes: To promote the conservation and protection of the natural aquatic environment in Canada (and the world) for the benefit of the public by educating the public on the dangers of plastic waste by: producing and distributing educational films, videos, documents, and other informative materials and resources; and presenting lectures, workshops, seminars and group discussions. To carry out activities ancillary and incidental to the above charitable purposes

The C.O.D.E. Initiative is a non-profit organization with the goal to support the personal, educational, and career development of children on the Autism Spectrum through teaching them the fundamentals of computer programming. We put a heavy emphasis on providing a one-to-one student-to-teacher ratio to provide undivided support for our students.   We are currently looking for volunteers to join our team! The Green Party of Vancouver was founded in 1984, and has elected representatives to School Board, Park Board and City Council. In 2011, Adriane Carr - one of the party's original founders - was elected as Vancouver's first ever Green City Councillor. In 2014 she was re-elected at the top of the polls, receiving more votes than any city councillor in the history of Vancouver. 2014 also saw the Green Party of Vancouver elect the largest caucus of Greens in Canada. In addition to Councillor Adriane Carr, Stuart Mackinnon was elected for a second term on Park Board (he previously served from 2008-2011) along with rookie Green Park Board Commissioner Michael Wiebe, who became Park Board chair at the end of 2016. Stuart was appointed Park Board chair in December 2017. Janet Fraser was elected to School Board, where she held the balance of power on a split Board and served as Vice Chair until the entire Board was fired by the BC Liberal government in 2016. More Greens were elected in 2017 by-election , with our School Board candidates winning the top three spots in a 9-seat by-election. Janet Fraser, now Chair of the VSB, returned along with two newcomers, Estrellita Gonzalez and Judy Zaichkowsky. All of our elected Greens have one thing in common: they are appreciated by Vancouverites who value the principled leadership and creativity they bring to their elected bodies, their strong democratic principles, and their readiness to listen to what citizens have to say and then to be a voice for them at the decision-making table. Together, the Green Party of Vancouver team is your independent voice on Council, Park Board and School Board. The labyrinth at St. Paul’s is a walking meditation space. Based on the medieval floor pattern at Chartres Cathedral in France, it features a singular path in to the centre of the space and back out again. Waking a labyrinth can be a way to quiet the mind, find balance, encourage insight and reflection. The labyrinth is open to all people as a non-denominational, cross-cultural tool of well-being. Regular operating hours with walking in silence or to recorded or live music. Special events throughout the year. The labyrinth is managed by the St. Paul's labyrinth guild.

The Cascadia Project is an indie theater festival founded by playwright and UBC professor Bryan Wade. The festival features emerging and established playwrights performing their original plays on Granville Island.

Through Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada, a new health services organization operated by CNIB, we provide personalized rehabilitation services designed to enhance independence, safety and mobility after a loss of sight. Meanwhile, CNIB’s other community-based services empower Canadians who are blind or partially sighted to lead rich, full lives, and move us toward a more inclusive world. With more than 50 offices nationwide, our strength comes from our community. The South Asian Family Association (SAFA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to highlighting the South Asian community and culture. Our goals are: - to promote positive images of the South Asian community - enhance cross-cultural understanding - empower families to maintain their heritage while embracing Canadian culture. Some of the ways we have accomplished these goals include: - organizing Indian festivals (including our annual summer India Live festival and Diwali functions) - providing annual scholarships to high school students who have demonstrated excellence in academics and community service - holding International Women's Day forums and Mothers & Daughters dinners - running youth summer camps - organizing health fairs for the South Asian community.

Cascade Bicycle Club, the nation’s largest statewide bicycle nonprofit, serves bike riders of all ages and abilities throughout the state of Washington. With a mission to improve lives through bicycling, we teach the joys of bicycling, advocate for safe places to ride, and produce world-class rides and events. Our signature programs include the Seattle to Portland, Free Group Rides, Let's Go and the Major Taylor Project.
