We’re a free literacy tutoring program backed by a mission to help children develop lifelong literacy skills. ONE TO ONE’s program is free to all parents and schools and is available to any elementary school student whose teacher believes they need a reading-skills boost. Each student meets two to four times a week with a ONE TO ONE volunteer tutor. For 30 minutes at a time, they read in an environment where it is okay to take risks, make mistakes, and learn at their own pace.

The BC Epilepsy Society is a provincially incorporated non-profit, and federally registered charitable organization dedicated to serving British Columbians living with epilepsy, and their families. Our Mission To empower, educate and support British Columbians living with epilepsy and their families, and support research to make their lives easier. Our History The BC Epilepsy Society was incorporated as a registered charity on August 17, 1959, under the leadership of pediatric neurologist Dr. Norman Auckland. Dr. Auckland believed that an increased understanding of epilepsy, among those living with the disorder and their families, could help those living with epilepsy to help themselves. The Society's programs and services today remain true to Dr. Auckland's original vision of support and education.

S.U.C.C.E.S.S., our primary service delivery entity, was founded in 1973 and incorporated in 1974 as a non-partisan and non-profit charitable organization. Initially founded to assist new Canadians of Chinese descent to overcome language and cultural barriers, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. has evolved into a multicultural, multi-service agency assisting people at all stages of their Canadian experience. Today, the organization is recognized as one of British Columbia’s largest social service providers. With over 20 locations, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. proudly services local communities in Greater Vancouver, Fort St. John and overseas in Taipei, Taiwan and Seoul, Korea. Through advocacy, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is also recognized as a prominent voice of positive social change. Guided by policies envisioned by a board of volunteer directors elected by the membership, over 400 professional staff and 2,000 volunteers deliver a multitude of services in the areas of settlement, employment, health and housing as well as business, auto insurance, economic, community and social development. S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Multi-Level Care (MLC) Society was incorporated in 1995 to deliver a continuum of care to seniors. With support from Vancouver Coastal Health, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. MLC Society manages and operates Chieng’s Adult Day Centre, two assisted living residences, Harmony House and Austin Harris Residence as well as a multi-level care facility, Simon K.Y. Lee Seniors Care Home. S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Foundation was incorporated in 2001 to raise funds essential for under-funded and non-funded programs as well as to manage endowments on behalf of S.U.C.C.E.S.S. and S.U.C.C.E.S.S. MLC Society. Annual major fundraising events include the Gala Dinner, Charity Golf Tournament and the “Walk with the Dragon,” one of Vancouver’s largest community-based fundraisers which draws over 12,000 individual and corporate participants.

One of North America’s most historic and prestigious road cycling events. The Global Relay Gastown Grand Prix is a UCI Criterium and a proud member of B.C. Superweek, North America’s most recognized road cycling series.

As a result of globalization and educational research, the “image of a child” has changed from that of an empty vessel or thirsty sponge to that of a “competent and unique individual” bringing her own strengths and learning competencies to the table. This in turn has brought about a shift from theories of learning that support the top-down transfer of select information to theories that support the co-construction of knowledge in the classroom and beyond. We believe literature is the best conduit with which to construct such knowledge. This shift is reflected in the philosophical base of all programs offered at the Lyceum. At the Lyceum we choose to concentrate on the perceptual dimension of learning in an effort to challenge binary thinking and encourage exploration of “possibilities.” Nurturing a lens through which to view personal, local, and global interactions helps children develop guiding principles when approaching problematic situations inherent in a diverse society.

Providence Health Care is comprised of eight health care providers which include: Holy Family Hospital, Mount Saint Joseph Hospital, St. Paul’s Hospital, St. Vincent's Brock Fahrni and Langara, Youville Residence, St. John’s Hospice, Honoria Conway.

The Vancouver Comic Arts Festival is comprised of comics-related events, including readings, presentations, panel discussions, and a large exhibition area featuring publishers and comic authors and artists.

About TechInColour TechInColour is a tech community hub that aims to empower and create spaces for, and centering, Black, Indigenous and people of colour. (BIPoC) We use inclusive organizing strategies and tailored event programming to create and cultivate spaces where people of colour in the tech industry are visible and/or centered. The Richmond Museum aims to inspire curiosity about our community’s history while exploring our place in the world. We invite visitors, students and educators to come on a journey of discovery with us. As museum storytellers, collectors and educators, our goal is to create moments of wonder and understanding. Our exhibitions tell the many stories of Richmond; our collections show how we live, past and present; our education programs open minds, young and old; and our work translates into action for a healthy community and planet. The Richmond Museum collects, documents, researches, preserves, exhibits and interprets objects of historical and cultural significance to the development and history of Richmond.   The Richmond Regional Heritage Fair is an annual two-day event presented by the Richmond Museum. It not only showcases history projects created by Richmond students but also offers unique, enriching activities that inspire a deeper appreciation for and curiosity about Canada's past. Each year, over 100 Richmond students present Heritage Fair projects on topics that draw from family and local Richmond stories to regional, provincial and national history. Over 6000 students take part in Heritage Fairs across BC and thousands more across Canada.

Formed in 2013, The Presidents Group (PG) is a network of business leaders in B.C. who are focused on increasing employment opportunities for people with disabilities and creating a more accessible consumer marketplace. As part of their work, they look to: o Improve human resource practices within businesses by identifying innovative workforce strategies that support all employees and enhance productivity. o Identify barriers and solutions for businesses when hiring persons with disabilities. o Create opportunities for the Province, in partnership with B.C. businesses, to improve supports for employers in order to support the hiring of people with disabilities.
