<p>We grow food, flowers, berries and fruit using ecological growing methods on a 1 acre urban farm and distribute it to over 1000 people every growing season. We currently operate a 1 acre urban farm, accessible community gardens and a therapeutic gardening program on Vancouver Coastal Health land in Marpole as well as therapeutic gardens for families in South Vancouver.</p>
<p>Volunteers are huge at Farmers on 57th! We wouldn't exist without them. Our volunteer programs are varied - if you are interested in farming, food, dietetics, community building - and interested in being outdoors in nature and working with others - please get in touch :-)</p>

Fire & Flower is a charity that provides transformative programs to empower girls in their INCREDIBLE rite of passage into young womanhood.

Around the world and throughout history, societies recognized the rite of passage from girl to woman as a sacred and critical time, and guided girls through the process with mentorship and wisdom. Today, this has been lost and there has never been a harder time to be a young person, with mass and social media producing a constant feed of harmful messages and images.

Fire & Flower is reviving ‘a village’ of women supporting girls as they come of age. We empower self-identified girls ages 10-14 in a non-binary, LGBTQ2SIAP+ inclusive environment.

Through mentorship, community-building, and nature-connection, participants build confidence and pride in womanhood, discover their personal power, and develop resilience to engage their future.

We are an outreach society to build the trust with First Nations in the medical system. We are basically their advocate.  We are very new and just created this year.

Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House empowers local residents in Hastings-Sunrise to improve our community together. We do this by providing ongoing programs and services to residents of all ages and by supporting various community development initiatives. <span style="font-weight: 400">We aim to provide innovative programs and cross-sectoral resources to encourage residents in Canada to be civically aware and democratically engaged. Our team is composed of staff, consultants, advisors, and volunteers from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds who dedicate themselves in having Canadians’ voices heard and understood.</span>

In August 2007 we started the "Gaby Davis Foundation" in memory of our daughter Gabrielle Davis who lost her battle with childhood cancer in March 2007. Her brave fight against cancer and her thoughtfulness towards other children with cancer inspired us to help other families fighting this terrible beast. The Gaby Davis Foundation seeks to improve a child's quality of life during cancer treatment by providing financial aid and support to children with cancer and their families at BC Children's Hospital, Surrey Memorial Hospital and Canuck Place. We believe that children with cancer will receive the most consistent medical care when their parents can focus on them, rather than the additional burdens caused by a cancer diagnosis.

Gaia Community Care and Wellness Society (Gaia Cares) is a charitable organization incorporated in British Columbia in 2018 that aims to support the health and wellness of Chinese and other older adults and their families. Through its programs and services, Gaia Cares provides seniors and those caring for them with the knowledge, skills, and nurturing support they need to ease the stresses of aging. Gaia Cares received its status as a registered charity through Canada Revenue Agency , effective from April 1, 2019

The Gathering Our Voices (GOV) organization hosts a week long event once a year for Indigenous youth to participate in a wide variety of workshops and cultural events. This year the 16th annual Gathering Our Voices Indigenous Youth Leadership event will be held on Musqueam traditional territory, in Richmond, B.C. GOV will take place between March 20th and March 23rd.

Girls Rock Camp Vancouver is a non-profit society that builds self-esteem in female and non-binary youth through music creation and performance. By providing workshops and technical training, we create leadership opportunities, cultivate a supportive community of peers and mentors, and encourage social change and the development of life skills. We run a summer day camp for girls and non-binary youth age 8-17. GRCV campers will attend classes in instrument instruction, songwriting, workshops, band practice, and engage in sharing and self esteem building.

<h3>Who we are:</h3>
The Gluten Free Expo began in a small community center gymnasium in Vancouver, BC with just two simple goals:

<li>To collect gluten free food donations so gluten intolerant families needing assistance will never have to choose between eating, or feeling ill. Sadly, due to the higher costs of Gluten Free food, this is a category that is not often donated and is needed by Food Banks across Canada.</li>
<li>To help those living with a gluten intolerance discover new dietary solutions, connect with others in the Gluten Free community, and to provide education on living gluten free the healthy and accessible way.</li>
</ol>
Following the first Gluten Free Expo, exhibitors and attendees alike asked us to come back again, so we did, and continue to do yearly and then expanded to different cities.
