About Us

ARIA Society is committed to serving the Iranian and Farsi-speaking immigrants, refugees, and women in our community. Through settlement assistance, language support, and cultural orientation, we aim to help newcomers understand their rights, access Canadian institutions, and establish themselves in a country they will one day call home. We also offer programming specifically for Iranian and Farsi-speaking women, designed to address the stark realities many have faced: sexual violence, domestic abuse, human rights violations, and systemic barriers to advancement in certain academic and professional domains. The need within the Iranian diaspora runs deep, but the response to it has so far been shallow. We are working hard to change that.

The Farsi-Fluent Presenter brings ARIA's mission and programs directly to the Iranian-Canadian community through public speaking and presentations. You'll represent ARIA at community events, workshops, and gatherings, sharing information about our services, resources, and initiatives in Farsi. As a bridge between ARIA and our community, you'll help welcome newcomers, answer questions, and foster connection, ensuring that Farsi-speaking members feel welcomed and informed about the support available to them through ARIA.NOTES: This role requires native Farsi proficiency. The role will require in-person attendance for Society events across Vancouver.
