About Us

St. Jude’s Anglican Home is a 55 bed complex care home nestled in a west-side residential neighbourhood of Vancouver, British Columbia. Care and services are provided in a home-like environment with the focus on resident needs and desires. The Home is governed by a non-profit society and funded by Vancouver Coastal Health, user fees and donations, so older adults with complex care needs of any background, religion, or culture are welcome here. Volunteers assist with recreation programs and 1:1 visits to help enrich resident quality of life after going through a screening, interview, orientation, and training. Volunteering with us requires a commitment of at least 1 hour per week for teens 16+, 2 hours per week for adults, at least one time per week with allowances for holidays, special events, or sickness. Reference letter will be provided after a minimum of 3 months, and a Certificate of Appreciation after one year of service. Helping skills with older adults living with complex health needs, some living with dementia, will be taught and mentored as needed. Come join the family!
