BCSPCA (Generosity Services Assistant)

Generosity Services Assistant

Purpose: Assist the Generosity Services Team in gift administration and customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Open and sort incoming mail
• Prepare and mail PAW Plan (monthly donor) welcome packages
• Mail out receipts and letters
• Sorting, labeling and filing batches
• Calling donors to update addresses, updating Raiser’s Edge database and mailing out returned receipts
• Other duties as required in the department

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Pleasant and friendly manner
• Patience and quick learner
• Trustworthy and dependability
• Basic knowledge of computer and data entry
• Previous experience working in an office environment will be an asset
• Customer service and good phone manner
• Maintaining confidentiality

Time Commitment:

Able to assist at least four hours a week (up to twelve hours a week may be available during busy periods if volunteers wish to do more) between Monday through Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Location:

Generosity Services Department at the BC SPCA Provincial Office
1245 East 7th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5T 1R1 and the Annex building.

Working Conditions:

Office Environment using phone, computer, and handling paper. May be in spaces where pets such as dogs and cats are present.
