Opportunity Description:

Are you a team player and passionate about community events?  Getting involved with Moonlight Walk for Cancer will allow you to celebrate life and fight cancer through an inspirational, non-competitive, fundraising event. 

Event day volunteers are Moonlight Walk for Cancer champions, who help bring the festival-like atmosphere to life by assisting in all areas.

This year we need your help supporting our Health Promotion team. During the event you will join other volunteers at our Health Promotion booth where you will connect with participants and share information about the ways they can reduce their cancer risk and educate them on a variety of healthy living topics. Additionally volunteers will help out with our Distance Challenge where participants track the total distance they travel throughout ‘Power Hour’.

Volunteers in this role should be confident in talking to participants, and should have an interest in learning more about and/or an understanding of the work the Canadian Cancer Society does in the field of Health Promotion.
