Apathy is Boring (Create your own community project – Become a RISE ambassador)

Organization Name: Apathy is Boring
Opportunity Title: Create your own community project – Become a RISE ambassador
Category: Social and Community Service
Commitment: Less than 6 months
Start Date: January 23, 2023
End Date: June 16, 2023

  • Appropriate for volunteers aged between 18 and 55
Opportunity Description:

Do you want to create change in your community? Connect with other young people and other community organization in your city? We got you!

RISE is designed for young people with little to no previous experience in volunteering. We mean it! You don’t need to have ANY previous experience.

During 22 weeks, as Ambassadors, you will develop new skills (Project management, collective decision making, teambuilding, budgeting, research), learn about community engagement, and develop a project on a sub-theme that matters to you. You will also have access to mentors and various workshops during the program.

The theme for COHORT 11 is RESILIENT CITIES. From accessibility to arts, infrastructure, and green spaces to civic engagement, resilient cities are about developing spaces, activities, and initiatives that can lead local communities to thrive.

If you’re aged between 18 to 30, this is your chance to learn about community work, build confidence and make new connections in a supportive environment.

Deadline to apply is October 31st. Cohort 11 will start in January 2023.
