We need your help urgently! We are looking for volunteers to deliver meals to seniors in the Downtown and Downtown East Side neighbourhood on week day mornings. About two hours once a week is all it takes to help!
Volunteers deliver meals in our community by car with mileage reimbursement. In addition to a hot meal, volunteers provide a friendly chat and an informal safety check on our clients. Typically, our volunteers commit to delivery once per week, however, we are willing to work around how much time you have to give.
Route drivers pick up meals from a depot then deliver hot meals directly to clients, providing a friendly visit and informal check on their safety.
Shifts: Flexible; between 10:30 am-1:00 pm, Monday to Friday
We provide orientation, support and mileage reimbursement for our volunteer drivers.
Criminal record check and proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required.
