Latincouver is a non-profit organization that for the past 14 years has been connecting over 100,000 Latin Americans with Latin enthusiasts living in Western Canada. Today, we are the point of reference within the Latin American community in British Columbia.

About the position:

Podcasts are a great vehicle to engage the public and transmit information. The Podcast Editor will be responsible for the post-production of the podcast called Brasileiros em Vancouver. There will be 30-45 minute episodes in Portuguese featuring highlights and information about Latin American activities in Vancouver and important news for the general audience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Availability to record the podcast once or twice a month in person
• Responsible to download, and organizing the raw material in the drive 
• Mix and master audio, and produce audio transitions
• Ensure synchronization of audio, background music, and other Podcast details
• Collaborate with the production crew and respect the deadlines

Requirements and Skills:

• Experience  with audio editing 
• Proficiency in English and Portuguese
• Strong communication, creative thinking, and enthusiastic
• Ability to meet deadlines and teamwork 
• Availability to work between 5 and 15 hours per week (minimum of 3 months)
