Be a part of an arts and cultural festival you won’t forget!

TAIWANfest returns with a festival full of dialogue, stories, arts, and more. Join our team in learning about cultural connections and share your own input in the festival planning process! We welcome anyone who is interested in culture, history, music, and arts to join us onsite and learn more about Asian culture together!

Did you know that Taiwan was once colonized by the Dutch? How does the history of colonization and exposure to other powers affect our understanding of identity and cultural traditions? We invite you to explore with us at this year’s TAIWANfest!

We are looking for pre-festival volunteers to help us with behind the scenes work this summer. Roles and responsibilities include:

Ambassadors: Learning this year’s programs as they develop and brainstorming how to tell stories onsite 
Translators: Help translate programming info, subtitles, etc between Chinese and English
Festival Emcee: Learning this year’s programs and contributing to scripts for our onsite stage events
Admin Assistant + HR: Developing schedules for volunteers, organizing data, and communicating with staff in similar tasks 

Junior Graphic Designer: Contribute to poster and social media image designs during promotional period

Junior Video Editor: Contribute to video editing for various programming and social media needs during promotional period

Social Media Assistant: Draft posts for the festival’s official accounts and contribute to development of online audiences

 

Participate in a creative and thoughtful cultural dialogue with TAIWANfest. Learn about festival production and make new friends!
