Opportunity Description:

We are looking for volunteers to help with the Taekwondo Canada Open happening from February Wednesday February 7 to Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Canada Plan in Vancouver BC.

This event will feature over 10 countries represented by athletes from age 9 to 90.  Two disciplines will be included: Poomsae and Kyorugi.

This is a big event and there is a lot to do. Some specific tasks are Greeting at the entrance, people helping with the flow of the event, helping the judges and operations of the on court competition. We are also happy to have people that can be present and help with a variety of tasks.

All tasks will be fully explained and any skills needed with be taught.

 

The time periods for which we are looking to volunteers are:

Wednesday 8 pm to 10pm – Set Up

Thursday and Friday 8:30 am and 8:30 pm. There is no need for anyone to stay the full 12 hours. we will be organizing shifts are happy with any time you can give.

Volunteers will receive a meal and a t-shirt. If this experience is going to wards any needed educational volunteer hours we are happy to sign. ( Example. Highschool students needing 40 volunteer hours to graduate)
