There isn’t a more famous place in Vancouver to run, jog, or walk than Stanley Park’s Seawall. The Seawall loops around Stanley Park, running along the park’s northern, western and southern coastlines. With views of the city, northern mountains, and Lion’s Gate Bridge–is undeniably beautiful.

We need volunteers to help make this run a success! The YMCA of Greater Vancouver is the charity of choice for the run and we are excited to work together to help make this an success.

Volunteer roles include:

Course marshals – provide directions to participants and are also our primary cheerleaders and motivators. Many participants have finished or have run faster purely from the encouragement given by an enthusiastic marshal on the course.
Water fill station – provide water to participants as they run through the course. It is the responsibility of volunteers to also guide the runners’ as they come through the water station in order to ensure a seamless movement of all participants. Volunteers are also responsible for keeping the station neat and tidy
Medals – Give runners their medals and congratulate them as they come through the Finish Line.
Timing Tags – collect timing tags from runner’s shoes at the finish line Food table – Setting up and refilling fruits and water at the finish line so runners can re-fuel and quench their thirst. Timer support – Support the timer in recording and announcing runner’s times Bag check – Help runners store their bags before beginning the race.
