Opportunity Description:

If you are excited about engaging kids in grades 4-7 in reading and educating them about Canadian kidlit, this is the best volunteer gig in the province! Become part of the non-profit Young Readers’ Choice Awards Society of British Columbia and you will be helping kids, families, and educators connect with literacy through the Red Cedar Book Awards. 

The Society currently is looking to fill two positions: Vice-President and Director-at-Large.   Our culture is very relaxed and flexible. You  are only asked to do what you can realistically handle within your own busy schedule. 

You will have:

Experience working on non-profit teams
Experience in the education sector (teacher, administrator teacher-librarian, for example)
OR have experience in the book publishing industry
