The Hastings Sunrise Community Policing Center (HSCPC) is a volunteer based organization that is committed to keeping our community safe and enhancing everyone’s quality of life. In partnership with the VPD, ICBC and other community groups, we operate road safety initiatives to address road safety issues, such as speeding, distracted driving and unsafe areas.
Speed Watch involves volunteers monitoring speeds throughout the neighbourhood, including schools and playground zones, using portable radar equipment and electronic signboards, making drivers aware of their speeds. We are looking for individuals who would like to be part of this.
Take a look at our website (http://hastingssunrisecpc.com/) or drop by our office at 2620 East Hastings. All applicants need to attend one of our monthly information sessions before volunteering with us. You can find out more about our requirements here: https://hastingssunrisecpc.com/volunteer/
