YOU ARE:
-University-college students, in your 3rd or 4th year, (fluent in English and Vietnamese)
-Passionate about working with teenagers
-Willing to work with the Vietnamese speaking SWIS staff at Vancouver School Board to support a group of Vietnamese speaking highschool aged students in a special project.
-Willing to commit a total of 25 hours to plan and implemente the project
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Act as a mentor and a positive role model for the students
-Work with the staff to plan and implement the project including brainstorming activities, coordinate events with the SWIS (Settlement Workers In School) staff
-Co-facilitate the workshop and encourage the students to participate in activities
-Act as a mentor and a positive role model.
The actul events of the project will take place during the 2-week springbreak. Specific dates and time will be discussed with the committee once we meet.
-A free-of-charge criminal record check is mandatory
