Are you curious about what it takes to run a city? If so, volunteer with Doors Open Vancouver (DOV)!   Doors Open Vancouver takes place Saturday, June 24 2017 from 10 am – 5 pm at 15+ City sites.   DOV is an event that will throw open the doors of popular Vancouver buildings to the public. Throughout the day, the public will be able to enjoy free, behind the scenes access to Vancouver venues and learn what it takes to run a city while experiencing Vancouver’s architecture, green design, and cultural heritage through tours and educational activations.   In 2015 we had over 15,000 visits to 18 buildings.  The event was a success because of the 200 volunteers who made the visitor experience so special.  Here’s a look at the volunteer experience during DOV 2015.   Once again, the City is seeking committed volunteers to assist the day of the event with set-up, greeting visitors, leading tours, social media, and encouraging public participation. In return, you will receive a collectable DOV t-shirt, an invitation to the exclusive wrap party, and the opportunity to meet with likeminded individuals, plus more!   We are also on the lookout for a team of dedicated Social Media volunteers who can assist us in the run up to the event!   If this sounds like you, register to volunteer at doorsopenvan.ca.
