Southlands Country Fair

“Enjoy a day in the country without leaving the city”
On Sunday, September 16th, 2018, the Southlands Riding Club will host the 17th annual Southlands Country Fair. The Country Fair has become a popular annual tradition where citizens of the lower mainland are invited to come enjoy “a day in the country without leaving the city”. The Fair runs from 10:00-5:00 RAIN or SHINE (most events will be moved under cover if it rains)
The Fair features pony rides, petting farm, old fashioned games, spectacular equestrian entertainment by Southlands Riding Club members, a Silent Auction, a beer garden, local arts and crafts market, heritage displays, farmers market, agricultural demonstrations, book sale, face painting, hay piles, bouncy horses, delicious food enjoyed outdoors, and much more!
The Fair is a place where young and old alike can experience the charm and magic of our unique corner of the city. Entry is by donation, parking is free, some activities cost $1.00-$5.00, while many others are free.
Every year, partial proceeds from the Fair go towards charities. This years proceeds will go towards the Southlands Riding Club Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation Program, which rescues abandoned and abused horses and rehabilitates them so they can be re-homed as riding horses. The remainder of the funds are used to support the Southlands Riding Club, a non-profit society established in 1943 as a recreational and training facility for junior and amateur equestrian athletes.
